- Wooden spoon and silicone spatula – One for mixing, one for scraping. Non-negotiable.
- Measuring spoons and cups – Yes, you still need these for small measurements, even with a scale.
- Sheet pans – Two heavy-duty aluminum ones. They’ll outlast your entire baking era.
The Ones I Actually Use Weekly
A stand mixer is nice. But a hand mixer for $20 works almost as well. It is not magic. But it works.
The real MVP? A wire whisk and a bench scraper. That’s it. These two tools solve 80% of my baking problems. The bench scraper cleans my counters, portions dough, and handles everything I used to use three different gadgets for.
